It will be really beneficial is you could share CAD designs for the Track 1 and the car. That way people could easily build a replica of the track as well as simulators.
What we were already thinking of doing was providing some basic simulation data, such as a body model, along with the standard code release.
What we will do is build up a list of bits people would like for simulating and testing and make the most useful available to all of the backers / competitors when they are ready.
We will probably put them on something like GitHub so that people can share corrections, additions, or improvements to the available information themselves.
I am certain that some CAD models of both the car and track will be in that list.
We also intend to make a fair amount of actual Pi camera footage available for checking code behavior without a YetiBorg or track.
For the moment the track layout diagram is a genuine scale drawing based of measuring the track by hand.
If it helps at all I have attached the raw guidelines used to draw the track layout diagram.
Are there any other things that would be useful to you or others for simulating with?
This is a great idea :)
